Auto Shop Owners, If you haven’t heard the term on the Web “Content is King”, you need to get involved!

Most auto repair shop websites feature the usual fare, About Us, Services, Contact, Make an Appointment, etc. Only a few feature a helpful Car Care Tips section for their visitors and by not having one they are missing greatly on increasing their visibility and ranking on the search engines.

Why, you ask?

Starting with Google’s Caffeine, the new indexing system implemented by Google back in June of this year, as well as similar implementations by Yahoo and Bing, any quality content added to the Web gets indexed and displayed almost instantly.

So, what is the most effective content that will benefit your website?

A Car Care Tips section is a good start. Posting articles, perhaps once or twice a month, that would help car owners maintain their vehicles in tip top shape, will keep your site fresh and up to date for the search engine Bots (also known as Web Crawlers). In return, this would help your site improve it’s position on the SEs. An added bonus to this, would be that visitors (potentially prospective customers) to your site might be thankful enough to bookmark your shop’s website for future reference.

But how do you come up with good professionally written articles for your site?

Car Care News Service

Car Care News Service

No worries, sites like Car Care News Service have been providing Informative Content about Proper Vehicle Maintenance, Repair and Enhancement Since 1964. They have an extensive library of articles, videos, and audio files that are copyright-free and can be redistributed, at no charge, to help you inform and educate your audience. You could even get automated posting for your site with their RSS Feed. Better yet, if you could add a Blog feature to your site and post similar articles and videos on a regular basis, it will make you an “expert authority” in your visitors and customers minds. Problem solved, right?

What other content would be helpful?

On my previous article about Google Caffeine, I listed most of the content that could be extremely helpful to your site’s ranking, such as customer’s reviews. But here, allow me to place emphasis on one that is beginning to pop up all over the SEs and the Web, VIDEOS! Aside from the videos that you can place on your site, or Blog, from sources like the one mentioned above, videos created by you featuring your business are extremely beneficial. I am talking about short 3 to 5 minute videos that will highlight the benefits for prospective customers to get motivated to visit your shop. No, you don’t need to hire a videographer or buy a Director’s Beanie, or chair. Just read my next article and you’ll see how simple it would be.

If you find any of my recommendations hard to implement, email me here, or better yet, call me at (800) 520-9498, I’ll be glad to help. You can also visit us at www.ecommnow.com
